Alcatel OneTouch has officially announced its latest affordable device, the POP Astro. They have teamed up with T-Mobile to bring the latest affordable LTE smartphone in the US.The Alcatel OneTouch POP Astro is going on sale today at T-Mobile retail stores, online and at authorized retailers for a full retail price of $149.76. The smartphone can also be purchased without any downpayment but with a $6.24 monthly fee on a two-year contract.

The Alcatel OneTouch POP Astro comes with a 4.5-inch qHD display. It is powered by 1.5GHz quad-core MediaTek MTK6732 processor.Other specs include 5 megapixel main camera, VGA front-facing camera, some live filters to edit photos, 1GB RAM, 4GB of built-in storage, MicroSD card slot for memory expansion up to 32GB, and a 2000mAH battery. The 4G/LTE-capable smartphone runs Android KitKat 4.4 OS and also features an FCC-mandated Anti-TheftProtection.

Alcatel Onetouch’s Senior Vice President & General Manager of North America Steve Cistulli said this new deal strengthens the Alcatel Onetouch and T-Mobile’s partnership that is also expected to further “democratize smart mobile technology and give budget-conscious consumers better choices in their smartphone experience”.
