The Cyanogen 12 update for the OnePlus One has been temporarily halted. But this was not done for a negative reason. Phones weren't getting bricked and there were no issues with the update that would cause OnePlus to take this action. Instead, the manufacturer wanted to freeze the OTA dissemination of the update in order to include a new feature for OnePlus One users. This was announced by OnePlus co-founder Carl Pei in a tweet he sent out this morning.

The feature that Pei is alluding to is the one that allows users to say the phrase "O.K. OnePlus" to activate certain capabilities of the OnePlus One. It is similar to the feature that allows Android users to activate a Google Search by saying "O.K. Google."

According to Pei, the Cyanogen 12 update will resume in the middle of this week. The latest version of Cyanogen is based on Android 5.0 and includes the ROM provider's email client Boxer.
