Cyanogen 12 is rolling out to all OnePlus One devices, including devices sold in India. Cyanogen OS 12 features all the material design, as well as the most functional changes of Lollipop. If you haven’t received the update yet, you can manually apply the OTA update.
Pre-Requisites:
- Your computer should have complete read/ write access and battery charge left in our device must be at least more than 50%.
- Manually backup all your crucial data like SMS, Call Logs, Contacts and other files like images, songs, videos, etc. to your computer.
Steps to Manually Install Cyanogen CM12 OTA on OnePlus One :
- Download the OTA zip file here
- After downloading the Zip file, you need to place the same in internal storage of your device.
- Now, enter your phone in the recovery mode.Recovery mode or the boot loader mode can be entered by pressing and holding the Power Button + Volume Down together till the recovery screen appears.
- Once you enter in the recovery mode, select “Apply Update” by touching the screen
- Select the option of “Choose from Internal Storage” and then choose the zip file that you have placed in your device. Follow the on-screen instructions for applying the update in your handset.
6.It will take around 4 – 5 minutes for applying the firmware update. Make sure that you don’t disconnect the device in the process of firmware update.
To check whether the update is applied successfully or not, head over to the path “Settings > About Phone”.
So there you go; you have now successfully updated the device with the CynogenMod 12.
