Lenovo has officially launched the A5000 smartphone in Russia. The smartphone is now available to buy in Russia at RUB 12,000. There have been no announcements regarding the availability of the smartphone in other markets, yet.
The Lenovo A5000 comes with a 5-inch HD (720×1280 pixels) IPS display with a pixel density of 300ppi. The smartphone is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek (MT6582) processor coupled with 1GB of RAM and Mali T760-MP2 GPU. The Lenovo A5000 comes with 8GB of inbuilt storage, which is further expandable via microSD card (up to 32GB). The smartphone runs Android 4.4 KitKat out-of-the-box.
On the camera front, it sports an 8-megapixel autofocus rear camera with LED flash and a 2-megapixel fixed-focus front-facing camera also on board. The Lenovo A5000 offers 3g, GPRS/ EDGE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, GPS/ A-GPS, Micro-USB, and Bluetooth connectivity options.It measures 140×71.4×9.98mm, weighs 160 grams, and is listed in Black and White colours. The Lenovo A5000 packs sensors such as an accelerometer, ambient light sensor, and a proximity sensor.
The Lenovo A5000 is a dual-SIM (Micro-SIM and regular SIM) device and is backed by a large 4000mAh battery which is rated to deliver up to 17 hours of talk time and up to 792 hours of standby time on 3G networks.The smartphone comes with Quick Charge feature which allows the battery to get fully charged in 3 hours while a 15-minute charge offers up to 4 hours of talk time. The handset also features rain and splash-proof screen protection.
