Micromax has launched the latest doodle smartphone as ‘Canvas Doodle 4’. It is the successor for the Doodle 3 which was launched in April 2014. The device comes with the model number Q391. It features a 6-inch qHD (960×540) IPS display and is protected by the Corning Gorilla Glass 3. The Canvas Doodle 3 also has the same 6-inch device with same resolution but with no Gorilla Glass protection.
It is powered by a Mediatek MT6582M quad-core processor clocked at 1.3GHz. The device comes with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage along with a microSD card slot (up to 32GB supported). It sports an 8MP rear camera with f2.0 aperture, LED flash and 2MP front-facing camera. The cameras are improved in the Doodle 4 over the Doodle 3, which came with a 5MP rear camera and a VGA front-facing camera. The battery on the Doodle 4 is of 3,000mAh capacity, where the Doodle 3 has only 2,500mAh capacity.
Connectivity of the device includes Wi-Fi, 3G, GPS/AGPS, Bluetooth 3.0, microUSB 2.0 and 3.5mm audio jack. It runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop out-of-the-box. Considering the built quality, it has the metallic finish around the plastic built phone. The company also provides a magnetic flip cover and a stylus for free. It comes equipped with the following sensors – Gravity, Priximity, Light, Accelerometer and Gyroscope.
The Canvas Doodle 4 is priced at MRP of Rs. 9,999 and is also available for Rs. 9,499 and Rs. 9,199 across some online stores. The Import data sheet shows 4,500 handsets are imported from China to India. The device comes in the white colour and is available at some online and offline stores across India
