Karbonn has launched a new smartphone ‘Karbonn Aura 9‘ with entry-level specifications priced at Rs.6390. The new budget smartphone will support 21 Indian languages and the main feature of the phone is its gigantic 4000mAh battery that can deliver up to 10 hours of talk time and up to 300 hours on standby mode.
Karbonn Aura 9 is among the few smartphones offering such high capacity battery priced under Rs. 10000. Few other smartphones that offer such gigantic batteries at that price range are Intex Cloud Power+iBall Andi 5F Infinito and Lava Iris Fuel 60.
Coming to its specifications, Aura 9 comes with a 5-inch HD IPS LCD (1280×720 pixels) display. It comes powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core processor backed with 1GB RAM and 8GB of built-in storage with a microSD card support for expansion up to 32GB.
On the camera front, the device sports an 8MP rear camera with LED flash and 5MP front camera. It is a dual-sim device and connectivity options include 2G, 3G, Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi, and a microUSB port. It runs on Android 4.4 KitKat OS and also includes ‘Smart Gesture Control’ feature for quick access to apps.
Earlier Karbonn launched Karbonn Titanium Mach Five, priced at Rs. 5,999. Mach Five is a better device when compared with Aura 9. As It featured a 5-inch HD 720p display powered by 1.3GHz quad-core processor coupled with 2GB RAM and 16GB internal storage with a support of microSD card for expansion up to 32GB. It runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop packed with a 2200mAh battery, and it is the only disappointment when compared with Aura 9 which is powered by a 4000mAh battery.

It sports an 8MP rear camera with LED flash and also a 5MP front camera with LED flash. While the rear camera of both devices is similar, front camera with LED flash is an added advantage of the Mach Five. The rest of the specifications are similar on these devices.
With this price tag and a whopping 4000mAh battery, karbonn Aura 9 will be a fierce competitor for the likes of Xiaomi Redmi 2, Micromax Canvas Selfie 2 and the Lenovo A5000 among others. Comment down with your favourite entry-level smartphone.
