Google has just released its new refreshing identity as it has unveiled its new logo and brand colors. So, just in case if you wish to set the new Google’s logo as your boot animation in your Android phone then you can do so very easily. Let’s check out on what are the methods with which you can do so without rooting the device or with much hassle.
Method 1: (For Rooted Phones)
• Download Google’s New Bootanimation
• Create a backup of your existing boot animation in your android phone by copying the boot animation zip file from the path “/system/media/bootanimation.zip”
• Copy the downloaded “bootanimation.zip” file to the path “ /system/media” with the help of adb piush command or via root file explorer in your device.
• Once you have placed the file, long press the file in the root explorer to set the permissions to 0644.
• Reboot the device to set and checkout the new Google logo as your boot animation.
Method 1: (For Rooted Phones)

• Place the bootanimation.zip file in the android device
• Reboot your device in the recovery mode by pressing the Volume Up/ Down + Power button
• Select “Install” and then choose “select zip file and install” option to flash the new bootanimation
• Reboot the device to set and checkout the new Google logo as your boot animation.
• Download Google’s New Bootanimation
• Place the bootanimation.zip file in the android device
• Reboot your device in the recovery mode by pressing the Volume Up/ Down + Power button
• Select “Install” and then choose “select zip file and install” option to flash the new bootanimation
• Reboot the device to set and checkout the new Google logo as your boot animation.
Disclaimer: The above process has been tested in Nexus 5 and Nexus 6 devices and works perfectly. The above procedure may/ may not work in non-Nexus android devices.
