ZTE, a global smartphone maker, has unveiled the global version of its flagship Axon smartphone as ZTE Axon Elite at IFA 2015. ZTE Axon is already available in US and China and is now ready to go on sale in markets across Europe, Latin America and the Asia-Pacific in the coming months and will be priced at 419.99 Euros (Rs. 31,100).
Adam Zeng, CEO, ZTE Mobile Devices said, “After two successful launches in the U.S. and China, we are delighted to continue the global rollout of Axon with this latest version for Europe, Latin America and the Asia-Pacific.” He also added,“Axon is the start of big and bold things for ZTE, and we will continue to evolve our Axon flagship line to align with our global strategies.”
The specifications of ZTE Axon Elite are similar to ZTE Axon smartphone that was launched in the US in July. Let’s talk about the device in detail: ZTE Axon Elite flaunts a 5.5-inch FHD (1080×1920 pixels) 2.5D curved display with 401ppi as pixel density and Corning Antimicrobial Gorilla Glass for protection on top of it. It comes powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 (quad-core 1.5GHz + quad-core 2GHz) processor with Adreno 430 GPU alongside 3GB RAM, 32GB onboard storage and microSD card support for expansion upto 128GB.
The main highlight of the ZTE Axon Elite is the three-fold biometric security authentications that include a fingerprint scanner, voice control, and eye scanning. It is the world’s first device to sport three fold biometric authentications.
The device will be available starting from September 24 via eBay in France, Germany, Italy, Spain and the UK for a price of 420 Euros. The first offline sale of the Axon Elite will start from Germany and will later continue to roll out in other markets like Spain, France, Turkey, Mexico, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Hong Kong, Russia and Philippines.
