It wasn’t just the HTC One M9+ and One E9+ that were announced in India today. The company also announced a budget range device to keep its mark in the low-end smartphone market. The HTC Desire 326G, just announced, has some good time to come into the market, but the device was already showcased at the HTC India event today, thus the specs were all listed.
The Desire 326G has a 4.5 inch FWVGA display (854 x 480 pixels resolution) and under that, is a not so good internal power, which includes a Speadtrum SC7731G Chipset, a 1.2 GHz quad-core processor along with 1GB of RAM. The device has a 8GB internal storage, and that is expandable to 32GB with a MicroSD card slot.
The camera combination seems decent though, with an 8-megapixel rear and a 2-megapixel front-facing shooter. The rear camera is assisted with LED flash, and can record 1080p videos. The battery packed into the Desire 326G, has 2000 mAh capacity and is claimed to give about 11 hours of talk time and over 380 hours of standby time on 3G network. Apart from 3G data network connectivity, there is Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS and MicroUSB as the connectivity options. This is a Dual-SIM device.

While there is no information about the pricing or availability given for now, we just know that the HTC Desire 326G will be released in May, towards the end of the month. We’ll soon be sharing our initial impressions, and letting you know how this fares against the big lot of budget devices that have been reigning the segment in the recent past.
